North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Greater New York

Yesterday evening, I had the honor of attending the North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Winter Celebration, and I am still carrying the warmth and inspiration from such a powerful night.

First and foremost, I would like to sincerely thank the North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the invitation and for hosting such a beautifully organized and welcoming event. Last night also marked a meaningful milestone for El Bori, LLC., as I officially became members of the Chamber. I couldn’t imagine a better introduction to such an incredible organization.

I have never felt so much support, encouragement, and true community in one room as I did last night. The energy was uplifting, the conversations were authentic, and the sense of unity was undeniable. It was a reminder of how impactful it is when leaders, entrepreneurs, and community members come together with a shared purpose.

A highlight of the evening was recognizing extraordinary individuals whose dedication and impact continue to shape and strengthen our community. The North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce honored leaders from diverse fields who embody service, integrity, and purpose.

Scott Blanco was presented with the American Dream Award in recognition of his father, Pascual Blanco, who was unable to attend, for a lifetime of leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to community progress. His journey and impact are a true reflection of what is possible through perseverance and service.

Felicia Kasow received the Outstanding Community Supporter Award. A lifelong advocate for women’s health, Felicia continues to lead with purpose, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to early detection, making a profound difference in countless lives.

The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Chief Christopher Ortiz, whose decades of dedicated service have strengthened public trust and enhanced community safety in Glen Cove. His leadership and commitment stand as a legacy.

Dr. Alexa Doeschner was honored with the Community Leader Award. A passionate educator and visionary leader, Dr. Doeschner is deeply committed to empowering students and strengthening the community through thoughtful direction and leadership.

The evening concluded with the Business of the Year Award presented to Rafael Maldonado. Through hard work, integrity, and compassion, Rafael turned a lifelong dream into a successful business rooted in community, trust, and shared values.

Each honoree represented the very best of leadership, service, and heart. It was truly inspiring to celebrate their achievements and witness the impact they continue to make within our community.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mayor Pamela D. Panzenbeck, Michael Ktistakis, and Spiro Tsirkas for their presence and continued support of the business community. It was truly an honor to connect.

A very special thank you to the amazing members of the Chamber who made me feel so welcome: Constanza Pinilla, Ever Padilla, Lisa Golden, Denky Begonja, Roberto Hernandez Jr., Carlos Santana, and Nadia Vee — your passion and dedication to uplifting our community does not go unnoticed.

I am also grateful to have met and connected with so many outstanding professionals, including Celeste P. Gullo of Allstate, Robert Cohen of Custom Car Concierge, Mary Stanco of Berkshire Hathaway, Angelina Stanco of How Can I Help Elder Care, and David Thompson of Extraordinary Auto, LLC. Each conversation was meaningful, inspiring, and a true reflection of the collaborative spirit in the room.

Thank you all for an unforgettable evening filled with connection, encouragement, and opportunity. El Bori, LLC, is deeply honored to now be part of the North Shore Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and I look forward to building lasting relationships, supporting one another, and growing together.

Thank you for a wonderful evening and an even greater experience.
